How the Supreme Court screwed the pooch on DNA patenting

Great article on BoingBoing.net explaining the Supreme Court’s recent decision to allow patents on synthetic DNA, and the uncertain and potentially negative consequences which may arise on account of it.

The S.C’s ruling echos my grandmother during Thanksgiving dinner.

Her set-up is fashioned ‘pretty much’ like what happened at the original Thanksgiving dinner; and by god, Thanksgiving dinner is HER holiday, and she has total control over anything and everything that happens therein.
